It's Beginning To Look a Lot Like Christmas ...!

While the interior painting is most definitely coming along, I hit the pause button on it today so I could decorate the outside with a little Christmas! I've been collecting this and that over the past few months as the craft stores not only put their Christmas goods out but also tempt me with 50%-or-better coupons! One of the things I most looked forward to in the immediate for this house was Christmas decor, so I made sure it happened! I'm not quite finished, particularly as I need lights to go around the porch railings, but I have used everything I have on hand. Take a look!
While I love all of the decorations, there are two in particular I must highlight as they are the ones that make this that house. First is the sign on the porch roof:
The only thing that would make this better would be for it to be much bigger!
And, flashing!
The other notable is Aaron's idea that this house needed one of those big inflatables! The perfect answer to that is the "snow globe" our daughter made a number of years ago:
The rest of the decor is rather traditional and fun and lovely!
A little twist of the red and silver "tinsel stems," as they are called on the
package, was just right for up here!
This strand of garland beads ended up the perfect length to fold in half and
twist for this railing!
I loved these little guys! They are the perfect ones
to say, "Welcome!"
And, of course, it's a must-see with the room lights out:
And, to all a good night ...
