While the interior painting is most definitely coming along, I hit the pause button on it today so I could decorate the outside with a little Christmas! I've been collecting this and that over the past few months as the craft stores not only put their Christmas goods out but also tempt me with 50%-or-better coupons! One of the things I most looked forward to in the immediate for this house was Christmas decor, so I made sure it happened! I'm not quite finished, particularly as I need lights to go around the porch railings, but I have used everything I have on hand. Take a look!
While I love all of the decorations, there are two in particular I must highlight as they are the ones that make this
that house. First is the sign on the porch roof:

The only thing that would make this better would be for it to be much bigger! And, flashing! |
The other notable is Aaron's idea that this house needed one of those big inflatables! The perfect answer to that is the "snow globe" our daughter made a number of years ago:
The rest of the decor is rather traditional and fun and lovely!
 |
A little twist of the red and silver "tinsel stems," as they are called on the package, was just right for up here! |
 |
This strand of garland beads ended up the perfect length to fold in half and twist for this railing! |
 |
I loved these little guys! They are the perfect ones to say, "Welcome!" |
And, of course, it's a must-see with the room lights out:
And, to all a good night ...
